Most of all we believe in providing a reliable power system that works.

On Track was originally started towards the end of 1998 to supply silent, electrical power – its roots came from the Film and Television Industries for whom, over the next few years, it turned out hundreds of generators that were sold throughout the world.
The demand quickly started to grow for off-grid electrical power in other sectors of the community and the Company expanded to supply similar silent electrical generating systems for, among others, the remote Wilderness areas of Africa. The game camps and lodges in these areas required silent power for nighttime use, when the generators were not running. Transportation and the cost of fuel subsequently, also, became a huge consideration and the idea of supplying power with batteries and inverters was introduced. It quickly became apparent that, if the running time of a generator could be reduced by half, the savings in diesel, maintenance and pollution became enormous.
Today, most up-market game lodges in Botswana are running on generator/inverter combinations for their electrical requirements, which even include above ground sewage systems, water pumping, lighting and refrigeration, with the result that many thousands of Rands are being saved every day – not to mention the carbon foot-print that is decreasing exponentially in this sector. This trend is spreading rapidly across the borders to other African countries and On Track has installations in Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, the Seychelles, and Mauritius etc. We have also branched out into other self-sustaining power supplies such as solar and wind energy.
In addition to the above we supply backup power systems for businesses, surgeries, shops and domestic installations throughout South Africa. With the recent power outages and the uncertainty of the future of our electricity supply, this has become a necessity for many users.
